Account limits explained
Here’s a clear breakdown of the limits associated with your business account:

Transaction limit
The Transaction Limit is the maximum amount that can be processed in a single payment using a specific payment method. For example, if your Transaction Limit is R 5 907, you will not be able to debit a payment larger than this amount in one transaction. If you attempt to exceed this limit, the transaction will be rejected.
Monthly limit
The Monthly Limit represents the total amount you can process over a 30-day period using a specific payment method. This limit applies to all transactions, including one-time and recurring payments.
The Monthly Limit takes into account the usage of one-time, monthly, and yearly payments. This means that any one-time or yearly payments you make will count towards your Monthly Limit, even if they are not recurring.
Exceeding the monthly limit: If your total usage for the month reaches or exceeds the Monthly Limit, you will not be able to make any further transactions until the next period. If you attempt to make a payment beyond this limit, you will receive an error message.
Withdraw delay: 4 Business days
The withdrawal delay indicates the processing time before you can request a payout. It takes 4 business days for the funds to be available for payout after a transaction has been processed.
Retained amount
The Retained Amount is a portion of your funds that is temporarily held back, as required by the Payment Association of South Africa (PASA).
