Normal debit orders

What is a Normal Debit Order?

Normal Debit Orders are the simplest and most cost-effective type of debit order.

It is a payment collection instruction where your business initiates the debit from the customer’s bank account.

Once your customer gives permission through a debit order mandate, funds are securely collected from their bank account — no follow-ups or manual reminders needed.

Key points:

  • No upfront customer confirmation is required (unlike DebiCheck).

  • Commonly used for recurring payments, such as memberships, services, or donations.

  • Processing is automated.

Collection schedule

Normal debit orders are processed in the late collections window on a business day and typically run after 21:00.

If a collection date falls on a weekend or public holiday, it will be moved to the next business day.
