Approval windows explained
Approval windows explained:
DebiCheck has approval windows which define the timeframes within which a client must authorise their DebiCheck payment. Understanding the various approval window types helps manage payments efficiently:
Batch (TT2):
Approval requests must be authorised on or before the second business day after the request is submitted. Additionally, you would not be able to make CAPI requests after 21:00.
This option is used for bulk transactions processed at scheduled intervals rather than instantly.
The customer has up to two days to approve the mandate.
Delayed Real-Time (TT1):
The approval request must be authorised by 20:30 on the same day the request is sent. Authorisation can be done from the payer's bank through their preferred channel, such as an ATM, internet banking, a branch, or mobile banking. The request will expire thereafter. Additionally, you would not be able to make CAPI requests after 21:00 for this type and after 20:30 for the real-time types
For this transaction type, you cannot send a request after 20:30.
This option provides a faster turnaround than batch processing but still allows some flexibility for customer approval within the same day.
Real-Time (TT1) – Cellphone Must Match Bank:
The customer must approve the mandate within 120 seconds (2 minutes) of receiving the request. There is also a 20:30 cutoff time for making requests, you can not make this request to CAPI after 20:30
Approval is only possible if the customer's registered cellphone number matches the number linked to their bank account.
This method ensures approval is linked to the banking system for added security.
Real-Time (TT1) – Sent to Bank Cellphone:
The customer must approve the mandate within 120 seconds (2 minutes).
The request is sent to the cellphone number registered with the bank, regardless of what number was provided during signup.
This ensures a secure and quick verification process.
